Location: Stevenage, Hitchin & surrounding areas / Welwyn Garden City & Hatfield / St. Albans & Hemel Hempstead / Broxbourne & Cheshunt
Accountable to: Service Manager
Hours: Full or Part time – Minimum 16 hours per week to cover 7am – 10pm 7 days per week
Contract Terms: Guaranteed or flexible depending on hours worked
Salary: Pay rates vary depending on the type of visit
As of 1st April 2022, our hourly rates are:
Homecare Calls – £12.25 for Mon-Fri 7am-6pm / £12.75 for Mon-Fri 6pm-10pm / £13.25 on weekends / £15.00 on bank holidays
Respite Calls – £9.50 for Mon-Fri 7am-6pm / £10.65 for Mon-Fri 6pm-10pm / £10.65 on weekends / £10.85 on bank holidays
Mileage – 45p per mile
Travel Time – £9.50 per hour or part of
– Homecare services are a minimum of 30 minutes, 7 days a week, 7am – 10pm
– Respite services are typically 3 hours long, Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm
Extra hours paid at relevant hourly rate.
This role provides homecare support services to a variety of clients through compassionate, person-centered care to help them maintain their independence and to remain living in their own homes.

- Provide unpaid family carers with a respite break from their caring
- Escort clients to attend social clubs and trips out that promote their wellbeing and keeps them connected with their local
- Respond to the needs of client’s through the delivery of homecare and respite
- Listen and understand client’s needs to support them in achieving their goals and desired outcomes as identified in their care
- Provide emotional support to the family as part of a caring
- Assist clients with social, domestic and personal care as needed, maintaining dignity and respecting confidentiality at all
- Assist with getting up and ready for the day to include all aspects of personal
- Support the management of medication through prompting, administering or collection from
- Prepare and cook meals
