Location: Community based,in client’s homes across Hertfordshire

Accountable to: Service Manager

Hours: Full time

Average 35 hours per week on a 2-week shift pattern,

7am – 3pm or 4pm – 10pm and double shifts on alternate weekends.

Contract Terms: Permanent, 35 hours per week

Salary: £20,000 per annum to include all shift allowances, travel time and mileage

Extra hours paid at relevant hourly rate

This role provides homecare support services to a variety of clients through compassionate, person-centred care to help them maintain their independence and to remain living in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to the needs of client’s through the delivery of homecare services.
  • Listen and understand client’s needs to support them in achieving their goals and desired outcomes as identified in their care plan.
  • Provide emotional support to the family as part of a caring team.
  • Assist clients with social, domestic and personal care as needed, maintaining dignity and respecting confidentiality at all times.
  • Assist with getting up and ready for the day to include all aspects of personal care.
  • Support the management of medication through prompting, administering or collection from pharmacy.
  • Prepare and cook meals.
