This proactive service makes a real difference to a carer’s emotional wellbeing. One of our trained, professional support workers takes over helping the cared for person, giving the carer time for the things they want to do. Crossroads will come to visit and discuss the needs of the carer and the cared for to create a personal plan of visit and support.
- The respite breaks are a minimum of 2 hours per visit.
- Frequency and length of call will vary depending on the individual needs.
- May be self-funded or through Herts County Council (if you meet the Local Authority eligibility criteria funding of a carers break.)
Our call with Sharon is wonderful, Chris looks forward to seeing her and it means that I can go out and do something for myself knowing that she is safe and well looked after.
