Care club
Group sessions for people who need care and support, held at our community hub in Stevenage.
A place where adults, especially older people or those with disabilities, get care and help during the day. We offer activities, social time, refreshment, personal care, and sometimes medical or social support.
What is the Care Club?
The Crossroads Care Club is a community service that provides support, social activities, and care for adults living with disabilities, dementia, or mental health needs. Think of it as a place to hang out and make friends.
It’s run by our support workers with the help of some friendly volunteers to make a safe, caring place to hang out, have fun and make friends.
Anyone can apply to join our club, but we have limited spaces so you will need to register your interest using the form below.
What to expect at the Care Club?
The club buzzes each week with games, crafting kits, and a variety of activities to suit different interests and abilities. While each session follows a theme, activities are always adapted to the preferences and capabilities of the members, ensuring everyone can enjoy and participate at their own pace.
Think of this place as a living room away from home — an inclusive, welcoming space where staff and club members help to decorate throughout the year to celebrate seasonal and special events. Every detail is designed with care at its heart, featuring furniture and amenities tailored to provide comfort and accessibility.
There’s a kitchen area stocked for refreshments, alongside a breakout space for those seeking a quieter moment. An office is also available, offering a supportive environment where carers can find advice and assistance.
Carers are more than welcome to join in the fun or use the time as a chance to rest and recharge — the choice is theirs, allowing for flexibility that suits their needs and those they care for.
